BIO – Evan Siddall
Evan Siddall was appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation in January 2014.
Before joining CMHC, he served as Special Advisor to the Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank’s Senior Representative to Toronto, where he led projects designed to promote continuous financial markets and the future stability of the Canadian financial system.
Over the course of his career, Evan has held a variety of positions in both investment banking and general management, including at BMO Nesbitt Burns, Goldman Sachs & Co. and Lazard Frères & Co. Immediately prior to joining the Bank of Canada, Mr. Siddall held the position of Corporate Finance Officer at Fort Reliance Co. / Irving Oil Ltd.
Mr. Siddall received an L.L.B from Osgoode Hall Law School, York University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Economics from the University of Guelph. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Young Presidents’ Organization (Ontario Chapter). He has also served as Chair of the Board of Governors of the University of Guelph, on the boards of the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery and of the Canadian Stage Company, and as Chair of the Council of Chairs of Ontario Universities.
BIO – Terry Campbell
Mr. Campbell joined the CBA in 1997 and held the position of Vice President, Policy before becoming President in 2011. He is the principal spokesperson for the banking industry in Canada and he ensures that the CBA plays a leadership role in the development of sound public policy on financial services. Mr. Campbell is a member of the National Steering Committee on Financial Literacy and he is a member of the Board of Directors of the International Banking Federation (IBFed).
Prior to joining the CBA, Mr. Campbell had a sixteen year career in the Ontario public service, including serving at the director level with responsibility for policy related to provincially-regulated financial services.
Mr. Campbell graduated with a Master’s degree in History from Queen’s University and completed his undergraduate work at the University of Toronto. He has served on the Guelph Museums Board of Management and the Board of the Deposit Insurance Corporation of Ontario. He has been involved in mental health community support, and is active in the United Way of Toronto and mentoring programs for recent immigrants to Canada.
