In his address to the Canadian Club of Toronto Charles Baillie will argue that modest goals will only bring us modest achievements, and that Canada needs to set ambitious targets to ensure a prosperous future for our country — and all Canadians.
Mr. Baillie was named president of TD Bank in 1995, and added the Chief Executive Officer title in 1997, prior to assuming his current position as Chairman and CEO in February 1998. He is also Chairman of TD Waterhouse Group, Inc. Mr. Baillie is a corporate director of Texaco Inc., and Dana Corporation. In addition, he is a member of the Business Council on National Issues. He is active in fundraising efforts as a member of the Campaign Cabinet for the University of Toronto, was the Chairman for the United Way of Greater Toronto Campaign 2000 and is currently Campaign Co-Chair for the Nature Conservancy and Campaign Chair for the Shaw Festival.
