Toronto is Canada’s economic hub, as well as is home to over 5 millionpeople. But due to our growth, and dated transportation infrastructure,
we are now faced with the challenge of a generation. Our transit infrastructure
is decades behind.
Congestion and traffic is paralyzing our city. Torontonians cannot get
home to their families, businesses are being impacted by their employees not
being able to get to and from work, and companies just can’t get their goods to
their destinations in a timely period.
We need to get our city moving – to make Toronto more liveable, affordable and
functional.
On the first day of his campaign, John Tory announced he will bring transit
relief. It will be his first priority as Mayor.
On May 27th, John Tory will outline his plan to get Toronto moving. Tory
will talk about his transit plan, and how as Mayor he will build the much needed
infrastructure needed to catch up with our growing population.
