Since 1992, The Canadian Club of Toronto has presented its Canadians of the Year Award to distinguished Canadians whose efforts and example have improved the lives of others and benefited us as a nation. This year, Canada’s leading speaker’s forum is proud to celebrate John Furlong and Canada’s Olympic Effort.
Vancouver 2010 was an event which captured the hearts and minds of all Canadians. The leadership of John Furlong along with the inspiration of the athletes and the dedication of the volunteers made for an unprecedented moment in Canadian sports and culture.
Please join us on the advent of the one year anniversary of the Games on Monday, February 7th when John Furlong, CEO of Vancouver Organizing Committee for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games accepts the Canadians of the Year award on behalf of Canada’s Olympic Effort.
