Jo Taylor

President & Chief Executive Officer, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan

Jo Taylor joined Ontario Teachers’ in 2012 and was appointed President and CEO on January 1, 2020. Jo is a globally recognized investor, with more than 35 years of experience leading investment teams.

Most recently, he was responsible for advancing Ontario Teachers’ global effectiveness and expansion, working closely with senior colleagues to design and execute our international investment strategy. He has also been a member of the committees for private companies and total fund allocations to review investment proposals, manage key relationships and optimize resource allocation.

Prior to joining Ontario Teachers’, Jo spent more than 20 years with 3i Group plc where he held a number of senior Group Management roles.

Jo graduated from London University with a B.A. (Honours) and later earned an MBA from Manchester Business School. He has served as a Chairman and non-executive director of many companies, including ISS, Helly Hansen, Busy Bees, and Camelot (operator of the U.K. National Lottery).

Andrew Willis

Staff Business Columnist, The Globe and Mail

Andrew Willis is a business columnist for the Report on Business at The Globe and Mail, based in Toronto.

He has been in business communications and journalism for three decades. From 2010 to 2016, he was senior vice president of communications for Brookfield Asset Management, a leading global alternative asset management company.

Andrew’s career in journalism included stints at a number of publications, including writing the Streetwise column at the Globe and Mail from 1995 to 2010. He also worked at The Financial Post, The Financial Times of Canada, Dow Jones/Wall Street Journal, and Maclean’s magazine.

Andrew co-wrote a book, The Bre-X Fraud, with Report on Business colleague Douglas Goold.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism from University of King’s College, Halifax.
