The Tony Blair Faith Foundation (http://www.tonyblairfaithfoundation.org) promotes religion as a force for good in our increasingly globalised world and aims to increase understanding between faith communities through interfaith encounter and action. The Foundation has launched Faiths Act as an opportunity for people around the world to work together across faith divides in pursuit of the Millennium Development Goals – with the battle against malaria an immediate priority as World Malaria Day approaches on April 25th. Faiths Act and the Faiths Act Fellowship in Canada were launched by the Tony Blair Faith Foundation alongside the Belinda Stronach Foundation in December 2008. The Faiths Act Fellows leadership program will support 30 exceptional young people of faith aged 18-25 from Canada, USA and the UK, to embark on a 10-month journey as ambassadors for interfaith service and the MDGs. They will reach up to 30,000 people of faith through outreach activity, informing them about the devastating impact of malaria and the opportunities open to faith communities to work together to save millions of lives.
