The Canadian Club of Toronto and Equal Voice are pleased to announce the fourth annual Women in Public Life Luncheon. On April 30th, Rt. Hon. Kim Campbell, Former Prime Minister of Canada, will be our keynote speaker and Equal voice’s EVE award recipient.
Kim Campbell served as the nineteenth and first female Prime Minister of Canada in 1993. She also held the cabinet portfolios of Minister of State for Indian Affairs and Northern Development, Minister of Justice and Attorney General, Minister of National Defence and Minister of Veterans’ Affairs. She was the first woman to hold the Justice and Defence portfolios and the first woman Minister of Defence of a NATO country.
Kim Campbell’s keynote will reflect of her life in politics, the unique challenges she’s faced, and her triumphs as a woman in public office, as well as the need for and the way to achieve the goal of women winning more elected offices throughout Canada.
