As Chairman and Co-Chief Executive Officer, Jim Balsillie directs strategy, business development and finance for Research in Motion (RIM), a world leading wireless data subscriber device, software and service company. RIM is best known for the design, manufacturing and sales of the BlackBerry handheld. Prior to joining Research in Motion, Mr. Balsillie was with Sutherland-Shultz in Kitchener, Ontario, and Ernst & Young in Toronto. Mr. Balsillie is a Chartered Accountant with a B.Comm from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Harvard.
