Vice President, Government Relations and Partnerships, Mitacs
Prateek Sureka has diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Prateek’s recent role is Vice President of National Partnerships at Mitacs since 2023. Previously, they served as the Canada Public Policy Chair at the Technology Councils of North America (TECNA) from 2022 to 2023. From 2022 to 2023, they worked at Communitech, first as the Head of External Relations – Public Policy and Public Affairs and later as the Director of Public Affairs and Policy. Prateek also had positions at the University of Sussex as an Associate Tutor – Innovation and International Management from 2009 to 2010 and as an IT Specialist from 2009 to 2010. Prateek Sureka has a diverse education history.
Prateek holds a Master’s degree in Technology and Innovation Policy from the University of Sussex. Prateek also studied Economics for Foreign Policy at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) and completed a Foreign Policy and Diplomacy program at the Diplomatic Academy at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) of the University of Oxford. Prateek has a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Pune. Additionally, they obtained a certification in Innovation Governance Program from Innovation Governance Program in 2022.
