Looking Beyond the C-Suite: The Business Case for Recruiting More Women on Corporate Boards

Research from Catalyst shows that, on average, companies with more women on corporate boards achieve higher return on shareholder equity, sales and invested capital, in comparison to companies with fewer or no women board directors. Yet women only represent 13 per cent of corporate board directors; and over 40 per cent of FP500 companies have no female representation in the boardroom.

Join us on September 22nd when the Canadian Club of Toronto welcomes Deborah Gillis, Vice President of Catalyst, North America, to discuss the findings of a recent study of women directors in FP500 companies. Ms. Gillis will present and answer questions as to why and how gender balance in the boardroom leads to better performance in the global marketplace. She will also offer insights into how Canadian corporations perform relative to their global counterparts when it comes to having women in senior positions on their boards and on their executive teams.
