The challenges currently facing Canada’s health care system are well known. But recent information provided by government studies and independent policy research organizations suggests these challenges will only escalate in the coming years. Yet too many stakeholders won’t acknowledge a crisis exists or consider possible solutions to tomorrow’s problems. In his address to the Canadian Club Dr. Schumacher will argue that decisions must be made and implemented sooner rather than later if we are to maintain the sustainable health care services Canadians expect and deserve.
Albert Schumacher was born and raised in Windsor, Ontario, and has practised medicine there since 1983. He is the current President of the Ontario Medical Association and also serves on the Canadian Medical Association Board of Directors.
