The Future of Sports in Canada

Well known to Torontonians as one of the city’s biggest boosters, Paul Godfrey has now turned his attention to the Blue Jays. The major-league team is up to bat for its 25th season, and in September 2000 Paul Godfrey was named President and Chief Executive Officer.

Paul Godfrey has been a fixture in the political, corporate and sports life of Toronto for almost 40 years. Beginning as a Councillor in the City of North York, Godfrey’s career has included terms as Metro Chairman; Publisher, President and CEO of the Toronto Sun; a Director of the 2008 Olympic Bid Corporation; and a member of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto.

With the new baseball season underway, Paul Godfrey will discuss the future of sports in Canada.
