Closing the Prosperity Gap

In its first annual report the Ontario Task Force on Competitiveness, Productivity and Economic Progress issued a challenge to Ontarians: the province is at a crossroads in its economic development and can be satisfied with being a solid player, or it can aspire to be one of the handful of outstanding economic regions in the world. In his address to the Canadian Club Roger Martin, Chair of the Task Force, will discuss the report’s key recommendations aimed at closing the prosperity gap and increasing Ontario’s productivity.

Roger Martin was appointed dean of the Rotman School of Management in 1998. He was formerly a Director of Monitor Company, based in Cambridge, Massachusetts. His research interests lie in the area of global competitiveness, integrative thinking and organizational learning.
