Founded in 1976, CGI is now the largest Canadian independent IT and business processing services firm and the fifth largest in North America, with over 20,000 professionals. Serge Godin, Founder, Chairman and CEO of CGI will discuss how clients’ evolving needs are helping the IT and BPS sector grow and how CGI maintains and creates jobs through its global network of centers of excellence while responding to the needs of individual clients.

Throughout his career; Serge Godin has remained very involved in activities that further the economic development of Montreal, Quebec and Canada including being President of the Board of Trade of Metropolitan Montreal and a current member of the Board of Directors for the Canadian Council of Chief Executives. In June 2000, Mr. Godin was awarded an honorary Doctor of Law degree from Concordia University and in November 2003, he received an honorary Doctor of Management degree from Laval University in Quebec City. Mr. Godin was also inducted into the Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA) Hall of Fame in November 2000 as a builder of Canadian strengths in information technology.
