8th Annual Women in Public Life

-In partnership with-

On Monday, September 23rd, 2013 The Canadian Club of Toronto and Equal Voice, will once again join forces to pay tribute to the impact of women in politics at the Eighth Annual Women in Public Life Luncheon. For more than 10 years, Equal Voice has been promoting the election of more women at all levels of government. This year, Ontario’s FIRST woman Premier, the Honourable Kathleen Wynne, MPP for Don Valley West, will be our keynote speaker and Equal Voice’s 2013 EVE Award Toronto recipient.

Kathleen Wynne is Ontario’s 25th Premier and the first woman to hold the office. She was first elected to the Ontario legislature in 2003 as the MPP for Don Valley West.

Known for her positive, progressive approach to leadership, Kathleen is a natural problem solver who is dedicated to bringing groups together to achieve real results. She and her team are focused on building a strong, fair Ontario where communities can thrive and our economy can grow.

Before being elected as the leader of the Ontario Liberal Party, Kathleen served as Ontario’s Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs, Minister of Transportation and Minister of Education.
