Dan Moulton specializes in building strategies that win public opinion and secure legislative and policy victories. Dan leads Canada’s largest corporations through periods of change, regulatory turmoil and reputational risk. As a Vice President at Crestview Strategy’s Toronto Office, Dan’s expertise has formed a practice focused on disruptive consumer-facing technologies and the politics of energy and electricity policy.
Prior to joining Crestview Strategy, Dan served as a senior advisor at Queen’s Park in the governments of Dalton McGuinty and Kathleen Wynne. Across various roles, he provided strategic leadership on some of the highest-stakes files in government, including one of the largest initial public offerings in Canadian history, two minority government budgets, and a plan to cut the cost of electricity by 25%.
You’ve likely seen or heard Dan’s political insights on Canada’s national news networks, including the CBC, CTV, GlobalTV and Global News Radio. He serves as a Director of the Canadian Club of Toronto. He’s a founding director of the next-gen Foundation Board for the largest health care research organization in North America and is a patron of the National Ballet of Canada’s young professionals’ programme.
A native of Woodstock – Ontario, Dan is an active advisor to the Leader of the Ontario Liberal Party and previously stood as the party’s candidate in Oxford County. He holds an MSc in International Relations from the University of Amsterdam, as well as a BA in Political Science from Huron College at the University of Western Ontario.
